About the role

  • Cybersecurity & IT Systems Specialist overseeing global technology infrastructure security and compliance. Managing cybersecurity initiatives and supporting innovation in a remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the organization’s cybersecurity strategy.
  • Monitor networks and cloud infrastructure for threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement Zero Trust security architecture.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Respond to cybersecurity incidents and coordinate remediation.
  • Manage phishing prevention and security awareness training.
  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Conduct regular security audits.
  • Ensure encryption of sensitive company and patient data.
  • Develop incident response procedures.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Manage Azure and cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain Windows and Mac environments.
  • Support remote employees across multiple countries.
  • Maintain VPN access and identity management.
  • Configure and maintain network security.
  • Manage servers, backups, and cloud storage.
  • Ensure high availability of critical business systems.
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • Implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Configure Conditional Access Policies.
  • Monitor privileged accounts.
  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding.
  • Perform regular access reviews.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender for Business, Azure Backup, Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Bermuda PIPA, GDPR (where applicable), Cyber Essentials principles, Healthcare information security standards.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to remote users and various systems.
  • Manage relationships with cloud providers, software vendors, internet providers, cybersecurity providers, and hardware suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in cybersecurity.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • One or more of: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified Security Administrator, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Network+, Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience with: Microsoft 365 Administration, Azure, Microsoft Defender, Intune, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, Firewalls, Networking, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), SIEM platforms, Microsoft Sentinel, Backup solutions, PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of: SQL, APIs, Automation, AI technologies, Cybersecurity frameworks, Cloud security.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
