About the role
- Security Consultant II integrating Akamai security products for government agencies. Advising customers, tuning web security solutions, and improving delivery methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for security services
- Ensure seamless integration and support for customers
- Provide expert guidance on security services
- Implement innovative solutions that help customers utilize Akamai's security products effectively
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to understand customer use cases and tune solutions to client needs
- Partner with internal sales teams to understand customer business needs and ensure customer success
- Participate in internal projects contributing to best practices
- Improve methodology, efficiency, and quality of solution delivery
- Participate in training and projects that improve methodology and service quality
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government clearance
- Experience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL
- Knowledge of how CDNs work
- Relevant customer-facing experience within a consultative environment
- Achieved or interested in obtaining cyber security credentials such as Security+, SSCP, GSEC or others
- Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques
- Knowledge of implementation concepts involving web development, IT systems, or security practice
