Responsibilities

Conduct risk assessments for automated equipment and systems
Design and implement solutions that comply with machine safety standards (ISO 12100, ISO 13849-1, CSA standards, etc.)
Participate in the integration and validation of automated systems in an industrial setting
Collaborate with project teams to ensure regulatory and standards compliance, as well as the expected performance level of the facilities
Prepare technical documentation and risk assessment reports
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and internal teams
Design customized technology solutions that optimize processes and increase plant productivity
Support clients in delivering high-value technology projects

University degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related discipline
3 to 10 years of experience in industrial automation, including at least 2 years in machine safety
Strong knowledge of machine safety standards and regulations (ISO, CSA, IEC)
Ability to conduct risk assessments and propose suitable technical solutions
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service orientation
CMSE (Certified Machinery Safety Expert) certification — an asset
Experience in the aluminum smelting industry — an asset
Familiarity with robotics and advanced automation standards — an asset
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial networks, and control systems — an asset
