About the role

  • Junior Engineer supporting mining project studies and site planning at Norda Stelo. Contributing to environmental safety and technical design under senior engineers' guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineers in carrying out various studies, including preliminary economic studies, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Provide technical support for the design and planning of mine site layouts.
  • Perform calculations and design mine ventilation networks.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports related to projects.
  • Work closely with operational teams at mine sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Registered with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • 0 to 2 years of experience required (mining internships are an asset).
  • Holding one or more mining modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 (an asset).
  • Ability to learn specialized mining software.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of drawing software Deswik and AutoCAD (Promine) (an asset).
  • Familiarity with specialized software such as the RocScience suite, Deswik, DataMine, MineSite, Vulcan, Ventsim (an asset).
  • Excellent written and spoken French.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis abilities.
