About the role

  • Senior Project Manager delivering complex cross-functional projects for Numeris, Canada’s broadcast measurement and audience intelligence leader. Managing budgets, risks, vendors and stakeholder outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, resources and success measures
  • Lead projects from initiation through implementation and formal closure
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Ensure projects align with organizational strategy, priorities and business objectives
  • Establish project success measures and monitor business outcomes and benefits
  • Provide recommendations for project prioritization, sequencing and resource decisions
  • Establish project governance, decision-making processes, escalation paths and reporting
  • Provide status updates on progress, risks, issues, dependencies, budget and decisions
  • Escalate significant issues and risks and recommend resolutions
  • Build relationships with senior leaders, stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate collaboration and decision-making across teams with differing priorities
  • Provide leadership, direction and support without direct authority
  • Work closely with product leaders on delivery
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies
  • Monitor changes to scope, timelines, resources and requirements
  • Develop and manage project budgets and monitor expenditures
  • Identify resource and capacity requirements and address constraints
  • Manage external vendors and partners, including deliverables, timelines, performance, contracts and issue resolution
  • Support routine procurement activities and collaborate with Finance on purchasing compliance
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations
  • Lead change management activities and communicate organizational impacts
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, meeting records and decisions
  • Lead project close-out, lessons learned and transition to business-as-usual operations
  • Improve project management practices, tools and processes and contribute to PMO standards
  • Report to the Senior Manager, PMO

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of progressive project management experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, governance and best practices
  • Ability to connect project activities to organizational priorities, business objectives, outcomes and value
  • Practical experience supporting routine purchasing or procurement activities, including comparing quotes, coordinating approvals and vendor renewals
  • Sound commercial judgment and ability to provide interim procurement support
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects independently with strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to address challenges and adapt plans as business needs evolve
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools
  • Experience with Smartsheet is considered an asset
  • PMP or other recognized project management certification is considered an asset
