About the role
- DevOps Engineer joining a fintech company focused on wealth management software. Supporting engineering teams to build infrastructure and improve deployment pipelines for high-value software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining infrastructure
- Improving deployment pipelines
- Ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems
- Shape technology culture and propel product development teams to rapidly deliver high-value software
- Suggest ways to improve existing architecture and technical debt
- Provide insight to optimize the Objectway Digital Client Onboarding (ODCO) platform and make it more scalable
Requirements
- 4+ years' experience in DevOps or SRE, configuration management and software deployment as well as infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring other engineers
- A proven track record of working with preventive / predictive maintenance techniques
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Argo CD and GitOps deployment practices
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
- Experience with Kong, AWS API Gateway, or similar API gateway technologies
- Experience with message queue systems such as Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPCs, firewalls, etc.)
- Experience writing code and in the automation, configuration, and application performance management tools
- A high level of individual initiative in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering reliable and consistent solutions.
