About the role
- Senior Engineer in verification and validation at Octasic, leading test strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams for wireless systems. Involved in performance validation and test execution.
Responsibilities
- Validate system functionality, performance, and reliability
- Develop test strategies and define test plans
- Perform verification activities across various system modules
- Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems teams
- Design, develop, and maintain tools, automated test frameworks, and scripts
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and system-level tests
- Investigate, analyze, and debug issues identified during testing
- Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and sprint planning activities
- Support CI/CD integration by enabling test automation
- Prepare clear documentation including test reports, validation results, and defect tracking
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in verification, validation, systems testing, or a similar engineering role
- Strong programming skills with hands-on experience developing automation scripts and test frameworks
- Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP and Ethernet
- Proficiency with network analysis and debugging tools such as Wireshark
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket
- Experience in an Agile development environment (Scrum, sprints)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex system issues
- Strong willingness for continuous learning and ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
- Eligible for Canadian Security Clearance
