About the role

  • Senior Engineer in verification and validation at Octasic, leading test strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams for wireless systems. Involved in performance validation and test execution.

Responsibilities

  • Validate system functionality, performance, and reliability
  • Develop test strategies and define test plans
  • Perform verification activities across various system modules
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems teams
  • Design, develop, and maintain tools, automated test frameworks, and scripts
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and system-level tests
  • Investigate, analyze, and debug issues identified during testing
  • Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and sprint planning activities
  • Support CI/CD integration by enabling test automation
  • Prepare clear documentation including test reports, validation results, and defect tracking

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in verification, validation, systems testing, or a similar engineering role
  • Strong programming skills with hands-on experience developing automation scripts and test frameworks
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP and Ethernet
  • Proficiency with network analysis and debugging tools such as Wireshark
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket
  • Experience in an Agile development environment (Scrum, sprints)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex system issues
  • Strong willingness for continuous learning and ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
  • Eligible for Canadian Security Clearance
