About the role

  • Technology Project Manager delivering IT projects for Ontario’s physician advocacy organization. Managing budgets, vendors, PMO governance, business analysis, and technology implementations in a hybrid Toronto role.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, execute, and implement IT projects in partnership with the business
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel under the IT Operating Plan and related portfolio
  • Manage project scope and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and cost estimations
  • Monitor project progress and movement between phases
  • Resolve technical and business dependencies with project resources
  • Participate in technical discussions and promote understanding of solution technology
  • Manage transition to IT operations support after project implementation
  • Develop and maintain project plans, charters, risk and issue documents, progress tracking, post-implementation reviews, and communications
  • Identify and implement mitigation plans for project risks
  • Follow and promote PMO processes and provide PMO governance expertise
  • Direct external vendors and vendor resources
  • Monitor project risks, issues, change challenges, and mitigation options for review by leadership and sponsors
  • Maintain BPM methodologies and business analysis frameworks
  • Promote process design standards and business analysis best practices

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Six to ten years of Information Technology Project Management and Business Analysis experience
  • PMI designation required: Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience using MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, Visio, MS Project, and Smartsheet
  • Experience in financial analysis or budgeting projects
  • Experience with systems development IT projects and integration approaches/platforms, including Microsoft platforms and tools, Salesforce, ERP, CRM, or Oracle enterprise solutions
  • Experience with business relationship management
  • Knowledge of PMO and standard project management methodology (PMI)
  • Ability to collaborate across technology areas and multiple stakeholder groups
  • Experience with business analysis procedures, documentation, and requirements-gathering techniques
  • Experience in vendor management or a related discipline
  • LEAN/Lead Kaizen/Design Thinking is an asset
  • ITIL certification and knowledge is an asset
  • Background and reference checks required as a condition of employment
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship and able to provide supporting documentation
