About the role
- Senior Commercial Counsel negotiating enterprise SaaS contracts for Optro’s AI-powered GRC platform. Supporting West Coast sales teams and streamlining commercial contracting.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead legal negotiations with customers
- Provide general guidance on subscription agreements, data processing agreements, partner agreements, and vendor agreements
- Primarily focus on Enterprise deals
- Support West Coast Area Directors and their teams
- Serve as an integral member of Optro’s expanding legal team
- Shape initiatives designed to streamline Optro’s contracting process as the company scales
Requirements
- 8+ years of in-house transactional experience
- Direct interaction with potential customers, partners, vendors, internal stakeholders, and executives
- 5+ years of experience negotiating SaaS agreements, Amendments, and Order Forms with enterprise customers
- Understanding of the full contract lifecycle from NDA through internal approvals and signature conclusion
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency editing and managing contracts using Microsoft Office and Google Product Suites
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks to completion within required time frames
- Flexibility to address unique issues in real time and judgment about when to involve others
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of residence
