About the role
- Android System Internals Engineer working on Android OS customization for mobile and web app development at Parallelz.
Responsibilities
- Android OS Customization: Design and maintain a highly optimized Android image tailored to our needs, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Diagnostics and Debugging: Investigate and resolve faults in complex virtualized environments, tracing issues down to the OS, runtime, or graphics stack level.
- Upgrades and Maintenance: Manage version upgrades across Android, ensuring stability while enabling new capabilities.
- Collaboration on Testing: Partner with the core team to define and implement robust testing strategies for system-level components.
Requirements
- Experience developing for Android/Linux
- Strong understanding and prior direct experience with the Android graphics stack
- Bonus: Experience with OpenGL ES, WebAssembly, WebGPU
- Bonus: Experience with custom AOSP development, Android kernel, Android System Services, Android HAL, GMS, and the Android Build System.
