About the role

  • DevOps Specialist designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications at PayFacto. Collaborating with teams to deliver reliable business solutions and ensuring application security.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy modular, cloud-native applications and services using DevOps best practices
  • Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines integrating code analysis, testing, and deployment (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
  • Architect, implement, and manage cloud solutions on AWS following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Develop automation scripts and tools in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to optimize infrastructure provisioning and application deployment
  • Support application development by writing efficient, testable, and scalable code for internal tools or product enhancements
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of deployed applications through proactive monitoring and alerting (Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent)
  • Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security at every stage of the development and deployment lifecycle
  • Identify, analyze, and rapidly remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to align DevOps pipelines with business and delivery objectives
  • Design self-healing systems and automated recovery solutions to minimize service interruptions
  • Participate in incident management and on-call rotation within the operations team
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation to increase operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing cloud environments on AWS
  • Strong background in DevOps and application development, with hands-on expertise in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Vue.js, Go)
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the following technologies:
  • AWS services: Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS
  • DevOps tools: Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Security: IAM, ACLs, security groups, Control Tower
  • Networking: VPC, VPN, load balancing
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Good understanding of microservices architectures, container orchestration, and distributed systems
  • Excellent understanding of CI/CD workflows, branching strategies, and DevOps culture
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification (or equivalent cloud certification) is an asset
  • Practical knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with ticketing or service desk systems for incident and request tracking
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is preferred
