About the role

  • SEO Strategist managing client accounts for POD Marketing, a full-service agency supporting business growth. Developing data-driven SEO strategies, content, and technical optimizations for eye care marketing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and deliver tailored client experiences
  • Formulate and supervise SEO strategies across multiple verticals
  • Publish blogs and make essential SEO adjustments using WordPress
  • Serve as the main client contact for deliverables and performance discussions
  • Generate blog topics and direct SEO content strategy
  • Conduct keyword research and optimization
  • Analyze Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, and SEMRush data to extract actionable insights
  • Manage technical SEO tasks, including 301 redirects
  • Train new team members on best practices and protocols
  • Support process innovation and documentation with senior team members and the manager
  • Participate in small-scale product development initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices

Requirements

  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Located in Calgary, AB
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2+ years of digital marketing experience, with at least 1 year focused on SEO
  • 2+ years in customer service, hospitality, or client relationship management
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Basic writing and editing skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset
  • Ability and willingness to communicate with clients and simplify complex concepts
  • SEO certification, such as HubSpot, Moz, or SEMRush
  • Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, and SEMRush
