About the role

  • Website Content Strategist creating SEO-driven content for POD Marketing, a full-service marketing, consulting, and HR agency. Managing client accounts, brand voice, content quality, and contractor work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a portfolio of complex or high-value clients and provide strategic guidance and customized solutions
  • Create informative, user- and SEO-driven website content tailored to client objectives
  • Participate in client meetings to understand brand voice and custom content requirements
  • Develop and maintain client-specific style guides
  • Write content in each client's unique tone and voice
  • Research a wide range of topics to support content creation
  • Receive and implement feedback from the Team Lead and Senior Content Writers
  • Deliver timely, high-quality, error-free content meeting project requirements
  • Update and maintain departmental process and training documentation
  • Maintain and innovate comprehensive training programs for team members
  • Participate in product development discussions and optimize offerings
  • Oversee external contractors, assign tasks, and approve completed work
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

  • Legally able to work in Canada and located in Calgary, Alberta
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional writing experience, including at least 2 years in a marketing context
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or client relationship management is an asset
  • Expert-level writing skills supported by a portfolio of published work
  • Intermediate understanding of SEO concepts
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Ability to work directly with clients and adapt to different industries and brand voices
  • Ability to contribute to team training, process improvement, and product development
