About the role

  • Product Designer owning end-to-end UX and UI for Pontosense’s B2B care-sensing platform. Designing accessible, data-dense workflows for home care and senior living operators.

Responsibilities

  • Own the B2B platform's product design end to end, including flows, information hierarchy, interaction states, and visual system
  • Understand customer needs, user roles, and operational workflows through interviews, feedback, and product data
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear, efficient, and scalable product experiences
  • Identify common customer needs while avoiding unnecessary customer-specific customization
  • Design user journeys, information architecture, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI
  • Design dashboards, settings, administration tools, and reports for varied roles, permissions, and account structures
  • Design loading, partial, error, and empty states alongside happy paths
  • Independently own UX and UI surfaces with minimal day-to-day oversight
  • Own visual specifications for colour, contrast, typography, and component states
  • Bring the platform up to WCAG 2.1 AA and maintain compliance
  • Maintain and evolve the design system
  • Run UX and visual quality reviews to ensure shipped work matches specifications
  • Conduct usability testing and improve designs based on customer and internal feedback
  • Partner with Product Management to turn requirements and business rules into intuitive experiences
  • Work with Engineering to ensure designs are feasible and implemented correctly
  • Make sensing data legible to non-technical users
  • Improve existing features using usability issues, customer feedback, and product data
  • Present design decisions with the reasoning behind them
  • Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborate with the B2B Product Manager and engineering team

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-time product design experience in enterprise or B2B SaaS products
  • Portfolio demonstrating interaction and flow design and visual UI craft
  • Proficiency with Figma for wireframes, flows, prototypes, and component states
  • Experience designing data-dense or state-heavy interfaces such as dashboards and administration tools
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA
  • Experience fixing real accessibility issues
  • Experience conducting or contributing to user research, including usability testing, interviews, or survey analysis
  • Clear communication and ability to explain design reasoning to product and engineering stakeholders
  • Based in Ontario, Canada
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment
  • No sponsorship required
  • Familiarity with healthcare or another regulated, trust-sensitive domain is a bonus
  • Familiarity with sensor data or time-series visualization is a bonus
