About the role
- Materials Coordinator managing materials, inspections, documentation, and shipments for Primoris Canada's oil, gas, and heavy industrial infrastructure projects at CNRL Horizon.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate site materials and incoming/outgoing shipments
- Serve as the main contact for materials-related questions, including freight information, shipment tracking, incoming inventory, material requisitions, equipment requisitions, and shipping coordination
- Perform budget development, progress measurement, cost forecasting, and prepare monthly internal and client benchmark/milestone reports for mid to large scale projects
- Supervise offloading of materials from carriers
- Inspect materials for damage, overages, shortages, and compliance with purchase order specifications
- Document and report receiving inspections according to the Quality Assurance System Program and HSE Program
- Identify and tag non-conforming material and quarantine it as necessary
- Organize, verify, and file receiving and vendor documentation
- Ensure materials are stored and maintained suitably
- Document withdrawal of materials for on-site use
- Prepare and load finished goods/materials for shipment
- Complete documentation and update the materials database before shipment
- Perform periodic materials inspections to verify counts, conditions, locations, and status
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping/receiving/stores capacity
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or the Petro-chemical industry
- Superior knowledge of pipe, fittings and valves
- Familiar with “Bagging & Tagging” or “Kitting” process
- Knowledgeable and experienced with a formal QA program
- Computer skills
