Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, analysis and updating of rates for product lines serving the Atlantic market
- Analyze the technical and financial performance of portfolios, including profitability, claims experience and risk segmentation
- Adapt pricing models and parameters to regional, regulatory and competitive realities
- Participate in rate reviews, regulatory filings and post-implementation monitoring
- Collaborate with underwriting, product teams and data & analytics teams
- Document and communicate results to support decision-making
- Participate in continuous improvement, modernization or automation projects for actuarial practices
- Serve as a technical reference and business partner for the teams involved
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline
- Actively progressing toward ASA/ACIA (or equivalent), or fully credentialed
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in pricing within property and casualty insurance
- Strong understanding of pricing principles, claims experience, profitability and competitiveness
- Advanced Excel required
- Experience with R, SQL or Python considered an asset
- Ability to work with remote partners in an interprovincial context
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual in French and English required
