About the role
- Personal Support Worker providing personal care, companionship, and daily support through Qualicare Home Care Waterloo Region. Managing client needs, documentation, and home-care services.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
- Prepare meals
- Perform light housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Handle shopping and errands
- Assist with medications and provide reminders
- Assist with ambulation and transportation of clients
- Provide companionship
- Follow care plans
- Complete documentation and charting
- Work under the supervision of the Care Coordinator
- Perform personal care services to meet clients’ needs
Requirements
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a home care setting
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- Ability to travel around the location territory with own vehicle
- Access to internet and mobile phone
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Ability to work shifts ranging from 1 to 12 hours
- PSW experience in Ontario
