About the role

  • Bilingual Disability Claims Analyst at RBC Insurance managing disability claims and ensuring excellent client service. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Adjudication: proactively evaluate individual disability claims using medical evidence, occupational insights, policy terms, amongst others to determine benefit eligibility
  • Client Communication: Deliver clear, empathetic, and timely communication to clients
  • Critical Analysis & Decision-Making: Use critical thinking to make timely decisions based on your assessment of the claim
  • Negotiation and Resolution: Articulate claim decisions clearly in writing and verbally
  • Claims Management: Efficiently manage a high-volume of cases, calculate benefit payments
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with clients and key partners
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or college diploma completed
  • Preferred background in healthcare, finance, or a related field
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, judgement and risk-management mindset
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in digital tools, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Basic math skills with an understanding of financial information
  • Ability to meet the technological and confidentiality requirements of the role
