About the role

Responsibilities

  • Help review claims and issue claims settlement directives
  • Provide settlement opinions for complex claims
  • Coach internal advisors to develop their technical skills
  • Provide policy advice, verify settlement costs and ensure compliance with claims best practices
  • Review claims and help advisors and practitioners settle them
  • Conduct research, proposing solutions to conflicts and situations outside the expert’s scope of authority
  • Help prepare action plans based on claims reviews
  • Verify and approve claims settlements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience
  • Advanced experience with Accident Benefits claims handling
  • CIP designation, or ability to be licensed in ALL Atlantic Provinces
  • Business insight, Complexity Trade Union (If applicable)
