About the role

  • Relationship Manager providing business and financial advice to RBC small-business clients across Brockville, Prescott, and Iroquois Falls. Developing client relationships, acquiring business, and managing portfolio needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business and financial advice and manage a portfolio of high value small business clients
  • Develop new business for RBC and deepen client relationships through external marketing and client acquisition
  • Acquire, grow and deepen client relationships through tailored financial advice
  • Proactively contact clients, conduct client discovery, understand needs and changing circumstances, and monitor satisfaction
  • Plan and prioritize client and market activities
  • Identify opportunities and introduce clients to RBC partners to fulfill business and personal financial needs
  • Manage risk, exercise due diligence in banking procedures, and develop action plans for concerns and risks
  • Champion digital enablement and advocate for RBC mobile and online applications
  • Visit clients on-site to understand their business objectives and operations, as permitted
  • Serve as RBC’s ambassador to the local business market and collaborate with RBC advisors and specialists

Requirements

  • Must be mobile and required to travel and cover Brockville, Prescott, and Iroquois Falls, Ontario
  • Business development, client acquisition, and prospecting skills
  • Ability to build and leverage Centres of Influence within the local business community
  • Proven track record in exceptional client relationship management
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Nice-to-have: credit skills and knowledge, including risk assessments, financial analyses, credit structuring/solutions, and deal presentations
  • Nice-to-have: completion of the Commercial Banking Advisor training program, previous experience as a small business owner, or experience in a similar field
  • Nice-to-have: good knowledge of a broad array of business and personal financial products and services
