About the role

  • Senior Medical Writer creating manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks for Red Nucleus’s life sciences clients. Supporting medical communications and publication projects.

Responsibilities

  • Research, write, and edit manuscripts, abstracts, slide presentations, posters, and other medical communications deliverables
  • Collaborate on highly visible client projects involving pharmaceutical products and medical technologies
  • Work with the Medical Communications team on publication projects
  • Review study data and distill it into thorough, well-written deliverables
  • Communicate with team members to achieve content development goals
  • Deliver work by designated deadlines and follow the project development process
  • Save all deliverable versions according to standardized file-naming criteria
  • Work respectfully and productively with internal teams
  • Ask supervisors for assistance when appropriate

Requirements

  • MD, PhD in the life sciences, or PharmD required
  • 4 years of experience writing peer-reviewed publications, congress abstracts, posters, and slide decks in an agency setting
  • Ability to independently write and edit scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and training materials
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate in a virtual setting
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of the AMA writing style
  • Team player with a detail-oriented work ethic
  • Understanding and familiarity with current AMA style
  • Ability to determine the accuracy of scientific information and data across biological fields
  • Understanding of preclinical and clinical drug development
  • Working knowledge of good publication practices
