About the role
- Senior Electrical Engineer leading power system studies for Revamp’s utility-scale renewable energy projects. Designing collection systems, interconnection models, and client-ready engineering deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Perform and lead complex power system studies, including protective device coordination, short circuit, arc flash, load flow, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power quality analyses
- Lead collection system design, including cable routing and sizing
- Prepare interconnection application packages and set up load flow and dynamic models
- Prepare and manage grid interconnection and collection system drawings
- Create equipment specifications for renewable energy systems, including PV modules, inverters, BESS, transformers, cable management systems, and BOS
- Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance
- Apply engineering principles and develop improved techniques, processes, materials, or products
- Support client interaction across multiple projects and portfolios
- Act as the main point of contact for a discipline or project team
- Create and oversee client-ready reports and presentations
- Prepare proposals and finalize scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate document preparation and project activities across major projects
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff engineers
- Lead staff required to complete assignments
- Advise management and staff as a technical specialist
- Collaborate on complex or unconventional problems and develop new approaches
- Oversee projects within a portfolio or suite of projects
- Meet deliverables and deadlines and perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
- U.S. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field plus five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience
- Professional Engineer (PE or Canadian P.Eng) license preferred
- Advanced knowledge of ETAP, CDEGS, and CYMCAP
- 2 years of experience as a solar PV systems or energy storage electrical engineer
