Field Application Scientist implementing EUROIMMUN instruments, software, and LIS interfaces for Revvity’s laboratory customers. Supporting installations, validations, training, troubleshooting, and customer applications across Mississauga and Montreal.
Responsibilities
Maintain working knowledge of EUROIMMUN instrumentation, products, and techniques
Coordinate pre-delivery inspections, hardware installation, initial configurations, system validations, training, and troubleshooting
Conduct routine preventive maintenance
Assist field service engineers with instrument installations and on-site troubleshooting
Arrange shipping of instruments, kits, and samples with logistics
Assist customers with validation studies, including protocol definition, sample acquisition, sample testing, and data evaluation
Ensure automation programming meets customer needs and national requirements
Communicate with EUROIMMUN AG for second-level support and complaints handling
Liaise with customer IT, networking, and security teams
Assist with LIS interfacing and edit LIS communication scripts
Conduct educational sessions for internal teams and customers
Provide application support to company departments
Complete documentation for project and service tasks
Comply with company policies, safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Assist with Request for Purchase paperwork and presale consultations
Coordinate instrument registration
Perform hardware installations, configurations, validations, troubleshooting, repairs, and part replacements
Travel overnight as needed (40–50%)
Requirements
Bachelors’ degree or a Medical Laboratory Sciences advanced diploma
1–2+ years of laboratory experience
Bilingual in French
Experience with client/server network infrastructure and basic object-oriented programming preferred
3 or more years’ experience as a field service representative, MLT, or related field preferred
Experience with bidirectional TCP/IP and file-based communication preferred
Experience with C# coding and script writing standard practices preferred
Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency in MS Office
Well-organized and able to function independently with minimal supervision
Excellent time management during concurrent projects
Comfortable presenting training and information seminars to groups
Strong professional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
