About the role

  • Lead construction estimators and develop railing project bids for a Canadian sales team. Managing client relationships, design proposals, scheduling, and installation coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Estimators in multiple locations across Canada
  • Complete project estimates and prepare written pricing proposals for clients
  • Work with clients to conceptualize, plan, and prepare estimations and creative design proposals
  • Meet clients in showrooms and onsite to understand the space being designed
  • Coordinate the supply of railing products for project sites
  • Monitor schedules to support on-time, high-quality installations
  • Assist in monitoring construction conformity and compliance with plans, specifications, and codes
  • Prequalify potential clients and establish budgets, timelines, and compatibility
  • Prepare quotations and site installation meetings as required
  • Manage client expectations regarding company processes, policies, and timelines
  • Plan and manage workflow for the entire design process from start to finish
  • Identify sales leads, find new opportunities aligned with corporate strategy, and maintain client and contact relationships
  • Update clients about product offerings, pricing, and assembly options
  • Support production, installation, and client inquiries as needed
  • Collaborate with Production, Installations, Purchasing, and Service departments
  • Participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings or training
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably within aluminum railings
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • In-person presentation skills and ability to establish relationships and close deals
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to exceed client expectations
  • Ability to identify the best product fit for client needs
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and scheduling skills
  • High-energy, detail-oriented, results-driven, self-motivated approach
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Flexibility with work hours
