About the role
- Part-time remote Service Advisor using trade knowledge to scope homeowner jobs, explain pricing, and book Microworks technicians. Weekend schedule with growth toward full-time work.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and identify customer needs
- Use trade judgment to scope jobs and determine half-day or full-day bookings
- Explain flat-rate pricing and answer questions about price and availability
- Secure card-on-file details and schedule technicians
- Make outbound follow-up calls
- Reply to texts
- Keep the CRM clean
- Help keep service procedures up to date
- Cover extra weekday shifts for the full-time Service Advisor during vacations and sick days
Requirements
- Hands-on trade experience, or experience selling or estimating in the trades (handyman, renovation, carpentry, painting, or similar)
- Strong general construction knowledge, including drywall, siding, trim, and caulking
- Phone-based sales or customer service experience, with a track record of booking commitments and handling objections
- Clear, confident communicator with fluent English
- Comfortable with Google Workspace, CRM software, and online payment tools
- Available Saturdays and Sundays, 8:30 AM to 5 PM
- Flexibility to pick up extra weekday shifts for vacation and sick coverage
- Interested in moving into full-time hours next year
- Own laptop, reliable internet, and a quiet place to take calls
- Good understanding of Lower Mainland neighbourhoods and local home styles is an asset
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
