About the role

  • Roche healthcare leader scaling Lean operational excellence across Global Quality. Driving Quality Unites Us, digital transformation, process optimization, and capability building.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale a dedicated Operational Excellence function within Global Quality
  • Orchestrate and establish dedicated resources across chapters and Manufacturing Sites
  • Support and accelerate the Quality Unites Us program by executing, scaling, and driving behavioral shifts and project milestones
  • Lead rollout of Lean standards and identify measurable productivity and cost-optimization initiatives
  • Embed the Lean Leadership program, coach, and drive proactive certification of Quality Leaders
  • Develop, certify, and mentor future Lean Practitioners through a network-wide training model
  • Design the strategic roadmap for a Global Quality Operational Excellence community
  • Establish a hub-and-spoke governance framework aligning central strategy with chapter and site resources
  • Translate Quality and business objectives into measurable operational excellence action plans
  • Diagnose workflow bottlenecks and deploy Lean and digital methodologies to streamline processes
  • Scale standardized methodologies, toolkits, and performance KPIs across chapters
  • Lead cross-functional root-cause analysis initiatives and ensure robust process confirmation
  • Champion cultural shifts, integrate them into daily routines, and provide field coaching and mentorship

Requirements

  • MBA, Master’s degree in Chemistry, Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Operational Excellence and Manufacturing process improvement, or Management consulting
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale program execution and building Operational Excellence communities
  • Advanced, practical mastery of Lean principles
  • Strong track record combining Lean/OE with digital technologies such as agentic AI, process automation, and advanced analytics
  • Demonstrated excellence leading matrixed, distributed teams
  • Proven capability to influence executive stakeholders, align disparate groups, and drive accountability without direct authority
  • Familiarity and proven operational track record within the Quality / GxP domain or adjacent highly regulated/technical industries is highly advantageous
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Knowledge of German is highly ideal
