About the role
- DevOps Engineer responsible for maintaining FME infrastructure and development pipelines at Safe Software. Collaborate in an agile team focused on constant improvement and automation.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining software tools that aid our FME development teams.
- Practicing Kanban style Agile Development with Jira
- Researching and Learning new tools and technologies
- Managing automation pipelines via Jenkins
- Participate in team meetings to provide updates and report newly-identified issues
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Development teams in order to plan upcoming projects effectively
- Utilizing Cloud Infrastructure for testing and development.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 2-4 years of DevOps and Platform Engineering or related work experience
- You are familiar with scripting languages such as Python, Powershell and/or Bash
- Knowledge or experience with Docker and or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge or experience with Cloud Platforms: Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure.
- You have a working knowledge of databases and SQL.
- You are self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn new tools and the latest technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
