About the role

  • Director shaping employee experience, communications, DEI, and workplace culture at Safe Software. Improving life at the company behind FME, an enterprise data integration platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own the employee lifecycle as a product from offer acceptance through exit
  • Redesign Day 1 and the 30/60/90-day onboarding journey with measurable engagement outcomes
  • Build recognition, milestone, and belonging programs
  • Lead the Fun Committee, hybrid working culture, and life@Safe programming
  • Track eNPS, Culture Guard, pulse surveys, and engagement trends on a regular cadence
  • Build and own internal communications strategy, channels, voice, cadence, and editorial calendar
  • Translate leadership decisions, strategy shifts, and company milestones into clear employee communications
  • Partner with executives to provide context for major announcements
  • Define and embed Safe’s Employer Value Proposition
  • Own Glassdoor, LinkedIn Life, and candidate-facing culture content with Marketing
  • Build employer-brand infrastructure for EMEA and US hiring growth
  • Develop Safe’s DEI strategy, including goals, programs, ERGs, and reporting
  • Embed equity into people processes with People Ops and HRBPs
  • Report DEI progress quarterly to leadership and annually to the board
  • Own the physical workplace experience, with Surrey HQ setting the standard
  • Manage the Facilities Manager and events and workplace program
  • Lead events strategy for all-hands, offsites, global moments, and the cultural calendar
  • Report directly to the Chief People Officer and lead a small team spanning employee experience, workplace, and facilities

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building onboarding, culture, or employee/customer/user experience programs from scratch
  • Experience thinking in journey maps, personas, and feedback loops
  • Experience running internal communications with editorial discipline
  • Experience defining or significantly evolving an Employer Value Proposition
  • Events or culture programming experience
  • Fluency with eNPS, pulse surveys, and engagement metrics
  • Experience managing a physical workplace or facilities at a growing company
  • Ability to influence leadership teams without formal authority
  • Experience at a global or multi-site company (nice to have)
  • Experience partnering with Marketing on brand campaigns (nice to have)
  • Community-building or ERG program experience (nice to have)
  • Change management background (nice to have)
  • Experience leading DEI initiatives with measurable outcomes (nice to have)
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
