About the role

  • Field Sales Engineer growing Walter precision machining-tool sales across Western Canada. Managing manufacturer relationships, technical tooling solutions, territory planning, and profitable sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales of Walter products and services within an assigned territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with key manufacturers, subcontractors, end users, and industry partners
  • Develop and support growth opportunities within the aerospace, defence, oil & gas, and other advanced manufacturing sectors
  • Work closely with customers and channel partners to identify technical requirements and recommend value-added tooling and machining solutions
  • Identify and pursue strategic sales opportunities, negotiating pricing and delivery within assigned authority
  • Achieve sales and profitability targets through effective territory planning and account management
  • Gather and communicate customer, market, and competitive intelligence using CRM and other internal systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
  • Support customers across Western Canada as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of machining experience with strong knowledge of turning, milling, drilling, and threading
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build, manage, and grow customer relationships
  • Outside sales experience considered an asset
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM systems
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the USA if needed
  • Self-motivated, results-driven professional with a positive attitude
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrates adaptability and willingness to take on additional duties as business needs evolve
  • Strong desire for continuous personal and professional development
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
