About the role

  • Product Designer shaping marketplace and subscription experiences for a Vancouver growth-stage company. Owning research, prototyping, UI delivery, and scalable design systems for hundreds of thousands of users.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full design lifecycle from research and wireframing through prototyping and final UI delivery
  • Translate user needs and business goals into intuitive, elegant product experiences
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope and prioritize design solutions
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design decisions
  • Maintain and evolve a scalable, consistent design system
  • Advocate for user experience while balancing business priorities and shipping timelines
  • Iterate designs using user data, customer feedback, and product KPIs
  • Deliver high-quality visual designs and engineering-ready assets
  • Report directly to Product Managers and partner with a senior product designer
  • Shape user experience across marketplace and subscription products reaching hundreds of thousands of users

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer, or equivalent role at a SaaS, marketplace, or product-led growth company
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work across UX and visual UI
  • Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and responsive layouts
  • Effective communication and collaboration across product, engineering, and leadership teams
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with limited resources and high autonomy
  • Self-sufficiency and accountability for deadlines without constant direction
  • Proficiency in English
  • Nice to have: experience with 2-sided marketplaces or creator economy platforms
  • Nice to have: experience designing marketing websites or landing pages
  • Nice to have: graphic design background in marketing assets, social media visuals, or brand design
  • Nice to have: experience with motion or interaction design and rapid prototyping tools
  • Nice to have: front-end development knowledge (HTML/CSS/JS)
