About the role

  • Senior Data DevOps Engineer at Scene+, supporting reliability and deployment of data platforms. Collaborating across teams to design automated pipelines and ensure operational stability.

Responsibilities

  • design and maintain automated pipelines for data solutions
  • partner closely with various teams for consistent engineering practices
  • implement and manage infrastructure-as-code practices
  • configure and support workflow scheduling and job orchestration systems
  • monitor data systems, identify failures and performance issues
  • support data platform security, access controls, and compliance requirements
  • define and maintain operational standards, documentation, and runbooks

Requirements

  • experience as an individual contributor within Data Engineering or Platform Engineering environments
  • proven success in DevOps or Data DevOps Engineer roles supporting data platforms, deployment pipelines, and data operations
  • strong, practical knowledge of data governance, access control, security, and compliance
  • hands-on experience with source control systems, GitHub workflows, and deployment automation
  • strong command of modern Data DevOps practices
  • experience supporting cloud-based data platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP)
  • proficiency in scripting or programming languages for automation and operational tasks (Python or similar)
  • familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and practices
  • experience with workflow scheduling or job orchestration systems (e.g., Airflow or similar)
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
