About the role
- Petroleum Sampler responsible for sampling petroleum and chemical products from various sources. Ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols in compliance with established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Takes samples of various petroleum or chemical products
- Obtain a representative portion of products from ships, barges and shore tanks
- Work according to company and terminal procedures
- Sample shore-based tanks or vessels according to established procedures
- Identify and correctly enter all required data on sample labels
- Communicate with Senior Petroleum Product Inspectors about work orders
- Clean and maintain inspection equipment and ensure its proper calibration
- Ensure that all relevant data is correctly recorded in documents or files
- Clean and maintain company trucks
- Ensure the cleanliness of workstations and inspection rooms
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience required or equivalent experience through education
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing sector role
- Valid local driver’s license, Class 5
- Experience in a petroleum-related field would be an asset
- Excellent math skills would be an asset
- Proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
