Requirements
- Secondary school graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of a CHIMA recognized HIM program and CHIM certification, member in good standing with CHIMA
- Minimum 2 years of experience in NACRS ED coding required, NACRS SDC coding is an asset
- Strong Communication, Interpersonal and presentation skills
- Computer experience/background
- Exposure to Lean principles, an understanding of methodologies and tools
- Engages in ethical conduct and strives to appreciate the diversity of patient/staff population
- Demonstrates values consistent with SHN’s Code of Conduct
