- MDRD Technician decontaminating and sterilizing hospital supplies at Scarborough Health Network’s Centenary Site. Supporting safe medical-device reprocessing in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities

- Decontaminate hospital supplies
- Sterilize hospital supplies
Requirements
- Central Services Certificate or Medical Device Reprocessing Certificate from an accredited Community College
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of decontamination, instrument inspection, assembly and packaging, endoscopy, sterilization, sterile storage and distribution
- Pass the MDRD competency test with a score of 80% or higher
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control in medical device reprocessing
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to make quick assessments and establish timely priorities in a fast-paced department
- Excellent English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills
- Experience functioning within a team concept with good interpersonal skills
