About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage an average of 15 to 20 accounts within an assigned territory and be accountable for a direct sales quota
  • Oversee the overall management of accounts and maintain relationships with Softchoice customers to positively impact NPS
  • Grow accounts by aligning Softchoice’s capabilities with customers’ desired business outcomes
  • Position Softchoice as a trusted strategic partner
  • Manage all aspects of accounts, including quote and order processing
  • Exceed customer expectations for order accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop a strategic plan for each account
  • Stay informed about industry developments, leadership priorities, and the competitive landscape
  • Build relationships with senior executives at current and prospective customers
  • Leverage Salesforce and Softchoice’s sales methodology to manage accounts, opportunities, and sales forecasts
  • Identify customer challenges and coordinate the resources needed to develop sales solutions for software, hardware, and services
  • Maintain strategic direction with local manufacturers and channel partners
  • Keep up to date with market and product developments and attend required product training
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders and specialized resources to address customers’ business objectives
  • Continuously and accurately develop sales opportunities
  • Use Softchoice’s “rep role” model and the Challenger sales methodology

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment
  • Experience in the IT industry is an asset
  • Experience understanding and interpreting annual reports, financial data, and forecasts
  • Strong business acumen and skills in managing a prospect pipeline
  • Good understanding of solution selling and creating value for customers
  • Knowledge of or experience with the Challenger sales methodology is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Comfortable delivering presentations and explaining complex solutions in simple terms
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Office 365 applications
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and build outstanding interpersonal relationships
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Successful completion of professional reference, education, and criminal background checks
