Responsibilities
Lead and perform advanced EMC analyses (EMI, HIRF, LIRF, lightning, electrostatic)
Actively contribute to resolving complex electromagnetic issues in support of certification, production activities, and in-service aircraft
Define and plan EMC activities for various engineering projects, identifying technical risks and prioritizing actions
Assess the EMC impact of design changes (systems, structures) and propose robust compliance strategies
Review and approve key technical deliverables: test plans, analysis reports and test reports, ensuring compliance with certification requirements
Participate in defining and evolving EMC technical requirements at the aircraft, system and structure levels
Represent EMC expertise in multidisciplinary reviews and collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers and international partners
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and interns, sharing your expertise
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices
Participate in EMC test campaigns (in Canada and internationally), including preparation of procedures, supervision of tests and analysis of results
Prepare compliance reports for certification
Requirements
Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
8+ years of EMC experience in aerospace (systems/structures); experience in spark prevention is a plus
Strong knowledge of standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE ARP) and regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA)
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and independently
Recognized expertise in EMC with experience in design reviews and technical risk management
Experience on aircraft programs and with EM simulation tools is an asset
Bilingual in French and English
