Lead and perform advanced EMC analyses (EMI, HIRF, LIRF, lightning, electrostatic) using simulations, analytical approaches and similarity assessments.
Actively contribute to resolving complex electromagnetic issues in support of certification as well as production activities and in-service aircraft.
Define and plan EMC activities for various engineering projects, identifying technical risks and prioritizing actions.
Assess the EMC impact of design changes (systems, structures) and propose robust compliance strategies.
Review and approve key technical deliverables: test plans, analysis and test reports, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
Participate in defining and evolving EMC technical requirements at the aircraft, system and structure levels.
Represent EMC expertise at multidisciplinary reviews and collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers and international partners.
Mentor and support junior engineers and interns by sharing your expertise.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and engineering best practices.
Participate in EMC test campaigns (in Canada and internationally), including preparation of procedures, supervision of tests and analysis of results.
Draft compliance reports for certification.
Requirements
Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
8+ years of EMC experience in aerospace (systems/structures); experience in spark/arcing prevention is a plus.
Strong knowledge of standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE ARP) and regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA).
Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and independently.
Recognized expertise in EMC with experience in design reviews and technical risk management.
Experience on aircraft programs and with EM simulation tools is an asset.
Bilingual (French and English).
