About the role
- Intermediate Software Developer building and shipping full-stack features for Solace’s enterprise real-time data platform. Supporting APIs, interfaces, testing, customer issues, and post-release delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test and ship full-stack features and fixes
- Develop back-end services, APIs and user interfaces
- Use AI-assisted development tools and carefully review and test results
- Break down ambiguous problems and make sound technical decisions
- Escalate issues when needed
- Write clean, well-tested and documented code
- Participate in code reviews
- Improve architecture, tooling and developer workflow
- Triage customer and team issues
- Follow delivery through post-release
- Take ownership of work from design through release and support after launch
Requirements
- 2 or more years of professional software development experience
- Full-stack product development experience
- Solid back-end skills and comfort building front-end features
- Ability to learn new languages and frameworks quickly
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants in daily work
- Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach
- Experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) and containers (nice to have)
- Experience with highly available, distributed or messaging systems (nice to have)
