About the role
- Principal Software Developer building Solace Agent Mesh, an event-driven platform connecting and orchestrating AI agents. Leading AI integration architecture, platform development, and technical innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement integration patterns for AI agents, LLMs, and machine learning workflows within the Solace Agent Mesh platform
- Research and prototype emerging AI technologies, evaluation frameworks, and integration patterns
- Build scalable, reliable, and secure components for agent communication, orchestration, and real-time data streaming
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
- Conduct code reviews and establish best practices for AI integration development
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Implement testing strategies, performance optimization, and monitoring for AI-driven systems
- Stay current with AI technology trends and apply knowledge to drive continuous innovation
- Drive architectural decisions and help integrate advanced AI technologies with Solace core products and internal tooling
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years specifically in AI/ML systems, LLMs, RAG, and agent-based architectures
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, Java (SpringBoot), and JavaScript/HTML (React)
- Experience with AI frameworks and tools including A2A/ADK, LangChain, CrewAI, and AutoGen
- Deep experience with event-driven architectures, message brokers, API design, and microservices in distributed AI environments
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code
- Understanding of MLOps practices, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management in production environments
- Proven track record of leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving complex technical projects to completion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with vector databases, embedding models, and RAG systems
- Knowledge of real-time streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, Pulsar, or Solace PubSub+ is nice to have
- Background in distributed systems, high-availability architectures, and performance optimization is nice to have
- Experience with AI safety, governance, and ethical AI practices is nice to have
- Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or research publications are nice to have
- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies is nice to have
