Responsibilities

Advise public- and municipal-sector organizations on their procurement strategies, including the structuring of calls for tenders and analysis of bid compliance
Draft legal opinions on public contracts
Lead advisory mandates to guide organizations through procurement-related issues
Model tender documents, negotiated contracts and other procurement documents using a legal engineering approach
Build a core set of clauses and develop networks of interconnected clauses
Contribute to drafting legal publications, blog posts and scholarly articles
Assist in preparing legal training on public procurement issues
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes
Keep the clauses and legal content of Edilexpert/Légalflo up to date
Advise public- and municipal-sector organizations directly under the supervision of the Vice President, Legal Products
Collaborate with a team of ten legal professionals dedicated to public contract law

Member of the Barreau du Québec or the Chambre des notaires du Québec
2 to 4 years of experience practicing commercial law or contract law
Excellent spoken and written French
Aptitude for and interest in using information technology
Strong ability to work as part of a team
Authorization to work in Canada; the employer cannot sponsor work visas or transfers
Experience in the public or municipal sector, particularly in public contract law, is an asset
