About the role
- AI Software Engineer transforming SS&C’s financial and healthcare technology delivery with AI agents and automated ADLC workflows. Building solutions across development, testing, production support, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI-enabled solutions across the application delivery lifecycle
- Partner with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA teams, and technology leaders to identify AI productivity and software-quality opportunities
- Design and implement workflows using Claude Code and other AI-assisted development technologies
- Reduce manual effort, automate repetitive tasks, accelerate delivery, and improve engineering outcomes
- Evolve traditional SDLC practices toward an AI-driven Application Development Lifecycle (ADLC)
- Introduce intelligent automation and AI agents supporting planning, development, testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, integration, deployment, and operational support
- Support production applications and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Use AI-assisted techniques for root cause analysis and incident resolution
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge artifacts
- Collaborate with operations and support teams to improve application stability and operational efficiency
- Contribute to technical design discussions and implementation planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience in Java and Python
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise software applications
- Proven experience transforming traditional SDLC methodologies into autonomous AI-driven ADLC platforms
- Experience leveraging AI agents to automate planning, implementation, testing, review, integration, and delivery
- Experience implementing AI-assisted development capabilities within software engineering teams
- Strong background in solution design, software development, testing, and production support
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot
- Practical experience applying AI to software design, development, code review, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG concepts, AI agents, and context management strategies
- Knowledge of AI evaluation and validation techniques
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and software development frameworks
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, database design and integration, and secure coding practices
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile delivery approaches
- Legally eligible to work at the specified location and able to provide a valid work or study permit where applicable
