About the role

  • Transportation Engineer leading municipal transportation design projects in Ontario. Collaborating with project teams and managing design, budget, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and assisting municipal transportation design projects for clients across Ontario
  • Directing roadway design staff and managing multi-discipline project teams
  • Financial management of projects including budget forecasting, resource management, change-order management, and client invoicing
  • Developing proposals, budgets, and schedules, and ongoing business development and liaison with clients
  • Collaborating with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirements
  • Supporting the Stantec Quality Management System, and promoting Stantec’s Environmental Health & Safety program
  • Ensuring that the required functions of the project are satisfactorily performed
  • Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Building a strong culture of quality design and teamwork
  • Other duties as assigned/required

Requirements

  • University or college degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in the field of road design and construction
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or LEL) is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience with project management or engineering design responsibilities
