About the role
- Transportation Engineer leading municipal transportation design projects in Ontario. Collaborating with project teams and managing design, budget, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Leading and assisting municipal transportation design projects for clients across Ontario
- Directing roadway design staff and managing multi-discipline project teams
- Financial management of projects including budget forecasting, resource management, change-order management, and client invoicing
- Developing proposals, budgets, and schedules, and ongoing business development and liaison with clients
- Collaborating with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirements
- Supporting the Stantec Quality Management System, and promoting Stantec’s Environmental Health & Safety program
- Ensuring that the required functions of the project are satisfactorily performed
- Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Building a strong culture of quality design and teamwork
- Other duties as assigned/required
Requirements
- University or college degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in the field of road design and construction
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or LEL) is required
- Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience with project management or engineering design responsibilities
