Responsibilities
- Support the design, analysis, and construction of all types of infrastructure, dam, and mining projects across Canada
- Lead complex numerical analysis using state of the practice software (FLAC 2D/3D, PLAXIS, etc.)
- Manage and coordinate geotechnical-focused and multidisciplinary project teams, commensurate with your experience and capabilities
- Mentor colleagues across a breadth of experience fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners
- Contribute to business development, proposal preparation, and market expansion initiatives
- Drive innovation by leading or contributing to digitization initiatives, advanced numerical modeling, market research, and the development of emerging technologies, with a focus on climate change adaptation, risk, and liability reduction
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Geological, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering (PhD an asset)
- 20+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experienced in numerical modelling, focused on geotechnical engineering solutions
- Knowledge of relevant British Columbia and Canadian codes, guidelines and standards
- Experience with geotechnical software solutions (GeoStudio™, LeapFrog, Rocscience)
- Demonstrated ability to work and manage projects independently
- Proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills
- Passion for making a positive impact through engineering
- Effective communication skills, including report writing and client engagement
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement and mentorship of developing engineers
