About the role
- Software Engineer building distributed systems and infrastructure for Stripe's financial management and billing platform. Designing, shipping, and supporting business-critical products used by businesses worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design the next generation of Stripe products for the high-growth needs of the company and customers
- Deliver value through a collaborative, user-first approach with stakeholders and customers
- Mentor engineers and help them grow
- Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
- Design, build, test, and ship code daily
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, design, and operations experts to build business-critical internal and external features
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in backend software development
- Ability to write high-quality code in programming languages such as Go, Java, C/C++, etc.
- Hands-on experience contributing to or building large-scale distributed systems
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across team work streams
