Sun Life’s graduate rotation develops Western Canada Account Executives for group benefits sales. Two rotations build underwriting, service, client relationship, and portfolio management expertise.
Responsibilities
Complete two rotations over two years in preparation for a career as a Sun Life Account Executive
Receive individualized learning opportunities and coaching from the Program Manager and Business leaders
Accelerate and deepen knowledge of the group benefits business
Work as a Group Underwriter on risk selection, pricing, renewals, plan changes, revisions, and new business opportunities
Build relationships with sales teams and support renewals, quotations, and inquiries
Work as a Service Specialist/Associate partnering with Account Executives to build and maintain Advisor relationships in the SunAdvantage small business market
Retain existing business by meeting or exceeding client needs and expectations
Discuss Group Benefits issues and develop knowledge of Sun Life products and services
Participate in development conversations and complete a progress scorecard
Transition into an Account Executive position after approximately two years
Manage a profitable portfolio of group benefits business
Meet external clients and advisors, build business relationships, and deliver an exceptional client experience
Requirements
Be in the graduating year or completing the final year of an accredited undergraduate program
Strong mathematical skills
Balanced academic, extracurricular, and volunteer experiences
Willingness to relocate within the hired region in Canada for Account Executive placement
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written, required for Quebec only
