About the role
- IAM Security Specialist improving identity management solutions for Sun Life. Collaborating with application and identity owners to remediate identity security issues and automate risk management.
Responsibilities
- Improve identity and access management solutions and systems for protection against evolving threats and improve efficiency.
- Detect identity misconfigurations or suspicious access requests and block them or respond to them.
- Remediate digital identity security risks identified by security monitoring tools.
- Run campaigns to have identity owners fix security issues detected on their digital identities.
- Work with the owners of IAM tools to prevent identities from being configured with risky configurations or more privileges than are required.
- Responsible for writing Technical Specs.
Requirements
- University degree/college diploma in related discipline(s) or equivalent work experience, and/or 5+ years in security IT industry experience.
- Industry recognized Information Security designation (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM) will be an asset.
- Technical skills in SQL, Active Directory, Linux.
- Technical skills in developing/maintaining automation for application security tasks.
- Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ.
- Prior experience with the Identity Protection Services part of CrowdStrike.
- Collaborate effectively across technical teams, security engineering teams and IAM teams by getting and providing context for decisions, challenged assumptions etc.
- Experience with other multi-factor authentication platforms and processes is a asset.
