About the role

  • Staff Product Designer shaping onboarding, activation, and purchase experiences for Superhuman’s AI-powered Mail platform. Leading growth experiments that make email and scheduling workflows easier to adopt.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design for Superhuman Mail’s growth efforts across onboarding, in-product activation, and purchase experiences
  • Shape experiences that help customers become more efficient with AI-powered email and scheduling workflows
  • Define growth experiments from sketches and hypotheses through interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to shape product direction, tradeoffs, and sequencing
  • Balance business goals and user needs while identifying growth opportunities and shaping a customer-centric roadmap
  • Use research insights to guide feature discovery, habit formation, and early value
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and create emotionally resonant experiences beyond functional requirements
  • Elevate design culture through high-quality design craft and measurable business impact
  • Prototype, test, and iterate rapidly to improve email management and productivity experiences
  • Explore and evolve design processes using AI tools and workflows
  • Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams across product, marketing, research, engineering, and analytics
  • Provide and receive thoughtful feedback and support team growth

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience spanning Product Design and Growth Design
  • 3+ years focused on growth, onboarding, monetization/subscription, or activation experiences
  • Proven ability to design clear, scalable, and delightful user experiences that simplify complex workflows
  • Mastery of design fundamentals, including prototyping, visual design, interaction design, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
  • Experience and curiosity in building AI-powered products, including designing for trust, speed, and user control
  • Strong collaboration and bias to action
  • Exceptional storytelling and influence
  • Ability to translate ambiguous problems into compelling vision and align cross-functional teams
  • Ability to navigate groups to decisions when consensus is elusive
  • Ability to work from a home office anywhere in the United States or Canada, or join an office in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York
