About the role
- Senior BI & Data Analyst transforming scientific and operational data into actionable insights at Sutherland Healthcare Solutions. Building KPI analytics, data solutions, and strategic recommendations remotely from Canada.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex scientific datasets to uncover insights and support strategic initiatives
- Map business process rules so data solutions align with operational realities
- Create insight-driven solutions providing visibility into KPIs and performance metrics
- Conduct deep-dive analyses and support evidence-based recommendations
- Engage business stakeholders to identify requirements for current and future products
- Lead requirements workshops and User Acceptance Testing for data, product, and analytics solutions
- Analyze business processes and develop business flow and data flow diagrams
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams
- Perform data profiling, mining, and validation/testing
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly
- Build strong business relationships and collaborative partnerships
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business Management, Computer Science or any related field
- Master in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Computer Science is an asset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand complex datasets with strong attention to detail
- Ability to translate requirements into well-written user stories
- Strong business mindset and ability to collaborate with business partners
- Ability to identify key areas for deep analysis and support sound solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience writing complex SQL queries, data mining, data profiling, and data validation/testing
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Data Analyst specializing in Data & Analytics, preferably in a senior or lead role
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience organizing and running User Acceptance Testing cycles and training with business users and stakeholders
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or MicroStrategy
- Experience working in Agile Software Development Methodology
- Experience in life science or Biotechnology industry is a plus
- Must be based in Canada
