About the role

  • Indigenous Relations Manager developing community partnerships and Indigenous workforce programs for Civeo Canada. Leading engagement, business development, awareness campaigns, and client relationships across Indigenous communities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage short- and long-range Indigenous business development strategies for projects
  • Collaborate with corporate shared services teams to develop employment, skills development and subcontracting programs
  • Initiate and lead Indigenous awareness campaigns internally and externally
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and industry clients
  • Refine, edit and tailor marketing collateral and presentations for specific clients and opportunities
  • Manage and participate in client, community and professional events to promote Civeo
  • Develop and maintain relevant community, project-specific financial and employment information
  • Monitor industry trends and client activities to identify new markets and opportunities
  • Facilitate and support innovative programs and services designed to recruit and retain First Nations, Metis and Inuit people
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Report to the Director, Indigenous Strategic Initiatives

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business or another related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Indigenous Community and Business engagement
  • Existing contacts with Aboriginal Communities and Provincial and Federal Ministries responsible for Indigenous affairs
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written abilities
  • Highly refined presentation skills
  • Strategic thinking, organizational and planning skills, with ability to establish clear priorities
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • 5-year driving record satisfactory to Civeo’s driving criteria
  • Some travel required
