About the role

  • Business Banking Specialist supporting small-business account openings, signing changes, and credit requests at TD, a Canadian financial institution. Advising customers and managing compliance through phone and digital channels.

Responsibilities

  • Engage small business customers to understand and meet Business Account opening, Term and Trust Products, and Signing Officer Changes needs
  • Handle customer problems related to Business Account Openings and Business Signing Officer changes appropriately the first time
  • Provide inbound and/or outbound sales support in a non-face-to-face environment
  • Open Business Accounts and complete Business Signing Authority Changes over the phone using digital technology
  • Promote and advise on Business Account plan options suitable to customers’ transactional needs
  • Follow end-to-end procedures accurately to avoid compliance issues
  • Ensure documentation accurately reflects client and business intentions
  • Identify small business credit and credit card opportunities
  • Submit and fulfill credit requests where total business exposure is less than $50,000
  • Apply a high-level understanding of business financials and credit policy
  • Prepare and obtain electronic consent on SBB-specific security documentation
  • Implement sales and customer service procedures
  • Review iCal appointment bookings and prepare in advance of appointments
  • Explore and refer additional customer needs to Senior BBS, Merchant, Account Managers of Small Business, and Remote Account Managers of Small Business
  • Minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct

Requirements

  • 2 years or more experience in direct to customer phone channel
  • Prior experience in Small Business Banking product and services is an asset
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent is an asset
  • Strong administration, organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment
  • Must comply with Bank and industry Code of Conduct
  • Must comply with provincial regulations for employment purposes in Canada
