About the role

  • IT Operations Analyst monitoring TD’s critical banking batch and host systems. Managing incidents, changes, and rotating 24/7 shifts from Toronto’s SOC datacentre.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline support and monitoring of the bank’s critical batch environment
  • Conduct surveillance of the banking environment
  • React to anomalies identified through monitoring tools
  • Monitor and support IMS, CICS, physical DASDs, and ATLs
  • Handle incident management for outages
  • Communicate with clients during service outages and ensure efficient resolution with minimal stakeholder impact
  • Notify and escalate possible or occurring issues and recommend prompt resolutions
  • Resolve customer and client requests
  • Apply change management discipline to maintain production stability
  • Perform testing, monitor and report results, and collaborate on problem resolution
  • Support installation, configuration, and upgrades of business applications and systems
  • Provide multi-site service availability coverage in a 24/7/365 department

Requirements

  • Ability to provide frontline support and monitoring in a 24/7/365 service availability department

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients during service outages
  • Ability to notify and escalate issues, problems, options, and recommendations promptly
  • Ability to provide effective change management discipline
  • Ability to perform testing according to test plans, monitor and report results, and collaborate on problem resolution
  • Ability to support installation, configuration, and upgrades of business applications and systems
  • Working knowledge of monitoring tools including System Automation, IBM Personal Communications, ServiceNow, Omegamon, Automated Workflow, Control-M, SharePoint, TotalView, and xMatters
  • Knowledge of IMS, CICS, DASDs, and ATLs
  • Ability to support z/OS infrastructure monitoring, z/OS batch processing, distributed environment and network monitoring, or AS/400 batch processing
